Anne Mannion Appointed AOP Chair

Swan Turton are pleased to announce that Anne Mannion, after having served as a board member since 2016, has been appointed to be Chair of the Board of the Association of Photographers (AOP) with effect from 3 June 2019.

As the leading UK firm for the photographic industry, Swan Turton has a longstanding relationship with the AOP. Charles Swan was its first non-photographer board member, serving for a number of years before Anne, and has helped provide a legal advice service for its members since 1990. Both Charles and Anne contributed to Beyond the Lens, the AOP’s guide to rights, ethics and business practice in professional photography.

Anne says: “It is a great honor to be appointed as the AOP Chair.

In one way or another I have been involved with photography and film all my life and am delighted to be part of this wonderful community of professional photographers.

In the coming years, together with Seamus McGibbon and my fellow board members, I look forward to continuing to put the AOP on a business focused footing, gaining exposure for our members, promoting their interests and lobbying for their rights in a rapidly evolving industry.”
