Robin Blay

Robin is an experienced Commercial Court and Chancery litigator who joined Swan Turton in 2017 having gained more than 17 years of experience post qualification as a Solicitor practising in niche firms in the City and West End of London.

Robin routinely engages in commercial litigation involving allegations of breach of contract, often in the context of the media and entertainment industry. His work typically brings him into enforcement and insolvency-related proceedings.

Robin has otherwise represented companies, partnerships and private individuals before the Courts in an impressive variety of specialist and high value litigation matters. He acted for defendants in high profile fraud proceedings for several years whilst during the same period successfully representing US claimants in English defamation proceedings after their names were published on an internet black list. Both sets of proceedings involved applications for injunctions.

Other key specialisms include proceedings for damages for professional negligence (including proceedings brought against other Solicitors), contentious probate and trust-related litigation, land and property-related disputes for several property developer clients and also litigation between partners and shareholders.

Robin is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association.
