Nicholas Sharp joined Swan Turton as a consultant in 2006.
He is a commercial and charity lawyer with extensive experience in private practice, commerce and industry, and the charity and arts sectors.
Previously, he worked for top City firm Slaughter and May for seven years and for Cadbury Schweppes PLC as Legal Adviser before starting his own practice in 1988, offering a flexible ‘in-house’ legal consultancy service to companies wishing to find an innovative solution to servicing their legal needs at a modest cost. Consultancy clients included Colgate-Palmolive and publishers Centaur Media PLC.
Nick now advises arts organisations, galleries and artists on contracts, copyright and other legal issues. He is a director of a-n The Artists’ Information Company, the leading national provider of information and support for professional artists.
In 1998 he co-founded The Multiple Store which commissions and sells limited editions by major contemporary British artists.
