Nicholas Sharp joined Swan Turton as a consultant in 2006.
He is a commercial lawyer with extensive experience in private practice, commerce and industry, and the charity and arts sectors.
Previously, he worked for City firm Slaughter and May, and for Cadbury Schweppes plc as Legal Adviser before starting his own practice in 1988, offering a flexible, cost-effective ‘in-house’ legal consultancy service to major companies. Consultancy clients included Colgate-Palmolive and publishers Centaur Media PLC.
Nick now mainly advises arts organisations, galleries and artists on contracts, copyright and other legal issues.
From 1991 to 2018 he was a director of a-n The Artists’ Information Company, the leading national provider of information and support for professional artists. In 1998 he co-founded The Multiple Store which commissioned and sold limited editions by major contemporary British artists, and was its director from 2006 to 2017.
